River Fishing

Three Views Bungalow (Talgarth) is situated about as centrally as it is possible to be between the two big River Systems of the River Wye and The River Usk. Beats, such as the Llynfi Dulas (Wye tributary) for example, being only being a 10 minute walk away. The Usk Primarily known as being a Brown Trout river whilst the Wye offers a greater variety of game species including Salmon, Sea Trout, Brown Trout and Grayling.

The Wye & Usk foundation ( http://www.wyeuskfoundation.org/ ) control much of the fishing in and around the area and is usually the first port of call for visiting fisherman. Day tickets for the vast majority of water in area are available via their passport scheme. Still Water Fishing is more limited in this Area but there are a few within reasonable driving distance – very often these places are a bolt hole when the rivers are in flood.
